I am a life long Steelers fan so obviously I am on cloud nine! The Steelers are the first team to win six Super Bowls! But, what a Hell of a great game for football fans period! I have to tell you I am most happy for my Nephew. Between me and my sisters boyfriend that poor boy never had a chance. He was BORN a Steelers fan! He had no choice in the matter. As he grew older he would always ask me of the Steelers Super Bowls of the 70's. I would tell him great tales of great players and dramatic victories. Finally in Super Bowl XXX he would get his first chance to see the Steelers play in a Super Bowl. With two Neil O'donell interceptions the Steelers lost a heartbreaker. Ten years later in Super Bowl XL he finally got to see the Steelers win a Super Bowl. A win is a win but that was not their best performance. Despite a few big plays by Big Ben he looked like a deer in the headlights the whole game. A Super Bowl record 75 yard run by Willie Parker, a gadget play from Radel El to Hines Ward, and a good defesive effort won that game. But, last night my nephew got one for the ages! Normally it's the Steelers top ranked defense that pulls the game out. What irony that it was the offense that drove the ball down the field and put it into the end zone with 35 seconds left in the game! The defense sealed the game when Woodley knocked the ball out of Warners hand for a fumble and Steelers recovery! That James Harrison pick at the end of the half was of the biggest plays I have EVER seen in a Super Bowl! What an outstanding game! It will give my nephew much to tell his one year old son as he gets older. For that child is a Steelers fan. He has no choice in the matter!
