I see what HAZ is talking about. From other websites or applications you can cut/copy & paste into a forum post. We can't cut /copy text from this website to paste in the forum. Say you wanted to copy a portion of my reply here into your new post so that you can reply to that particular text, you site won't allow it.
Is it possible for you to add a "quote" feature to the forum?? I do see that the system is set up so that a reply is indented to show what message it's replying to. (hope that wasn't confusing :-D )
Yeah, there is a quote module that I can install that will let you quote when you reply. I haven't tried it out yet, but I'll grab it and we can test it.

I have prepared the bomb shelter just incase and if he makes it through the claymores and artillery fire then I will be up shytes creek.
As far as cut and past, I was trying to use it more for searching purposes. Say someone mentions a product or manufacturer, I usually cut/copy and past to the search engine (yeah I could just type it in but I hate typing). I can not do that on this site and this is the ONLY one that does not allow me that option.
I can cut/copy from another source OR if I am writing a reply I can cut/copy what I am typing and paste here but not from a post in a thread.

Maybe that's the logic behind this whole comment editing thing. It makes a certain amount of sense that comments are editable as long as no one else has followed up on them. Once someone has replied by posting an additional comment, you really wouldn't want people to have the ability to go in a change what they wrote before the other person commented. Maybe that's the logic (I really should read the docs!).
Of course, I, being lord and master of BP, can edit anything at any time. Mwa ha ha ha ha!

Good ole (King) George wouldn't read all your email and tap your phone lines just for the hell of it. He has your safety in mind. Never mind that pesky constitution. :)
