Someone requested (Dave? Dags?) a review type for miscellaneous gear--anything bass-related that doesn't fit into the other review types we already have. So I hooked you up. Under the Create Content link, you should now find a Miscellaneous Gear Review option! Enjoy.
The image uploading works (even though there's a "Use at your own risk!" disclaimer), though you're always free to link to Flickr or whatever. If you do have a downloaded image you'd like you use, you can. And I'll be adding that feature to the other review types.
While I was at it--as an incentive to get you guys to review your gear, I bumped up the point values of all reviews to 15 points each. I also bumped lessons up to 20 points each. All others stayed the same. This bump affects new content only. It's not retroactive. But it's cool! So review away!

I just asked Wheat if he could put an "Equitpment" topic in the reveiws... I wanted to review my "Grizman Leathers" Strap but it fell in no catagory listed. So, with a misc. catagagory that will get it for me.... and many other things that won't fall under those catagory's.... if that's what you meant by "What up, DM....hehehe!

Hey Dave, it is a good thing your first name is not Brian. Other wise we would have to call ya BM. ;)

Just whatever I could find
Just whatever I could find on Youtube. Fear of the Dark, Aces High, The Trooper, and a few other things. Did you know that Steve Harris hasn't changed his amp settings in something like 15 years? He also bypasses the tone knob on his bass.
What Maiden covers is Steel doing these days?

Let me see, Steel does:
The Ides of March,
Wrathchild,
Killers,
Run To The Hills,
Number Of The Beast,
Hollowed By Thy Name,
Powerslave,
There are Many others I'd like to do... In my last band we knew somwhere around 25 Maiden songs, not bad for a three piece band...LOL!
Maiden is just fun to play.... and no I didn't know Harris was in EQ denial... I'll bet he would change his tone if he played some of the place I play!

Lotta fast bass lines there Dave. Question for ya; do you use a pick on most of those or two or three fingers? Curious minds want to know.

NO PICK PAUL! I never use a pick. I use two or three fingers. On Killers I'll use three, on Powerslave that's so slow I use two... Run To The HIlls I've done it both ways. But, I'm real big on using three fingers so I use three a lot. I'd have to look back at my list now But I think on the rest of them I just use two... I may trow in some three fingers riffs or something like that.

How about
if I edit the two basses I reviewed.. can I get the extra points :)

Honestly, I haven't tried it yet! It might work. Try it and see. Let me add the image field to all the review types. I've been adding some images to them manually, but it'll be nice to have the option of uploading one.

I added image/picture as a field for every review type. If any of you have previously reviewed something and want to add an image. Or would like to embed the image you have added (rather than linking to Flicker or Photobucket or whatever), now you have the option.
Let me know if anything screws up!
