MIDI controllers

I wanted to report that my beloved Korg nanoPAD bit the dust recently. I really liked it, and the price was certainly right, but the pads just started failing one right after the other. Of the twelve pads, at least four are dead and one other is sketchy. Sad. I only had it for a few years of pretty light use. The warranty, of course, was for one year only. Buyer beware. To be fair, I haven't tried to contact Korg about it. Maybe I should, and maybe they'd be cool about it.

In the meantime, I was craving a portable MIDI keyboard controller, so I picked up an Akai LPK25, which I'm really enjoying:

It's light and portable. Works great with Ableton Live
and GarageBand
(and, I'm sure, pretty much anything else).
