My B.C. Rich Bich was just horrible to play. My first frett was lifted slightly and the action was the worst of any bass I have ever played in my life! I marked time off in July and took it in. I got her back at the beggining of the week. She ain't the fastest bass I ever played but it is MUCH better. A new nut, glue down the first frett, dress the fretts and a set up. This thing hasn't played like this in MANY years! I forgot how fast I really am.....LOL! It's playing pretty sweet! I told him I would see him in about 5 years. He told me not the way I was wearing down the refrett job he did. I'm just SO damn happy to have her back playing and sounding SO much better! Back to giggin' next weekend so she'll get a good test run then.

Hey that's great Dave. It's
Hey that's great Dave. It's amazing how different a bass can be with a bit of TLC. So I'm thinking when your current frets wear out you should get them replaced with stainless steel. I'll bet SS wil take the abuse of fast play. 'Course I don't know if they make SS frets but maybe you could start a new trend. hahaha
LOL! I thought the last
LOL! I thought the last refrett would BE my last refrett job. I did push it to it's limits last time. The fretts were so wore out my strings were starting to dig into my frettboard. They were pretty bad! I'm not going to let them go quite that long this time. But, yeah she is playing pretty nice compared to how she was playing. I told the guy "You have to be an animal to play her". He asked if I had another bass. I said "Yes but I hate it". I felt like I had my child in the ER and the doctor was telling me to pray for the best! I contact B.C. Rich about having a custom neck through Bich made. But, all is well now!
