Frozen in Time

BP.com... A town frozen in time.

Here you'll see what's left of BP.com. An original ghost town from the late 1800's. Bassplaying.com stands today in a state of "arrested decay". What became of the founding father may never be known.

Hey Wheat Wheat Wheat ... echo echo echo echoooooo .....

Just postin' SOMETHING as I am mixing a tune and took a break ...

Yep, it's been really slow for a while. I haven't been on any sites much for a while as I'm insanely busy at work right now. Some economic slowdown, I'm nearly twice as busy as before.

I bought another laptop. A Toshiba Satellite M70 running XP. So I'm officially in the 21st century. I'm hoping to do another BassIAB on the new machine when work slows down enough to do anything else.

Nice pic. I was just thinking of BP today and wondering if everyone had abandoned ship. I've become a bad host: inviting everyone to the party and then leaving them to fend for themselves. I actually played my bass a bit yesterday. And I've been working on a few reviews. But life is keeping me busy. Still, I should be around more.

How are the rest of you cats? What's shakin?

Hahaha! You slackers! I get on here almost daily and no one ever drops by. Hehehe...just kidding. Wheat is a dad now so I know he's busy. Hazz is nothing but busy all the time. Paul, I know you're just blaming your job for your problems (counselling is available, my friend) LOL!

I've been in and out, but usually don't do anything here unless I see some new posts. However, I did post a new recording on MySpace for no other reason than to get some content going here.

Take care guys. Much BP love to you.

Have strong and get good...

Bo

I think I need more than counselling Bo. Several strong drinks might help temporarily.

The new laptop with XP installed is driving me crazy. Everything worked fine at first but after trying to install ASIO drivers it's a total mess. Band in a Box has gone totally weird on me. So what was supposed to be an 'upgrade' has become a nightmare. I've been doing more fiddling with the PC than playing bass. Grrrrrrr!

DUH!!!!

Well then play yer bass, dillweed!!!!! It's obviously the only thing you're good at!! LOL!

Oh, and pass the liquor...: )

Peace, love, and harmonic minors...

Thanks for posting the new

Thanks for posting the new track. I'll check it out. I gotta get caught up on account requests. I let those pile up and it's no fun dealing with them.

I'm taking a break right now from vacuuming and mopping while Haden naps. That's the rock-n-roll life I've been living. :)

Cool man. You guys stopping in keeps the whole thing going. Jump in and post when you can. It tends to stir up the dust and get the other geezers posting, too.

You can always just post up what the voices in er head are telling you ... might be interesting or perhaps a bit unnerving.

I actually spent the evening

I actually spent the evening working on a track (a cover of "Autumn Leaves"). I've been laying the guitar parts down first on this one, so no bass playing tonight. But I have been getting my guitar bag a little more together, which helps. Once I had the main chord sequence down, I had a blast improvising over it.

When I actually sit down and record instead of doing all the other sort of nonsense that I let occupy my time, I'm sometimes pleasantly surprised with the results. Of course, recording is a fickle hobby. Nothing is quite as disheartening as spending all evening and having nothing to show for it. It's sort of like watching a really bad movie all the way to the end. You suddenly wish you had your time back. But, fortunately, this wasn't one of those evenings.

Are you going to load it on your MySpace? When you do, let us know. I want to hear it.

You bet. I've got quite a bit more to do on it, but I'm enjoying it. So I want to stick to it and finish it up. I also had a friend ask for a jam track mix of it (i.e. just the chords, no melody). So I'll post that, too.
