About Bassplaying.com

Bassplaying.com is a place for people who play bass guitar. It strives to be a friendly community where bass players can hang out, trade ideas, learn new techniques, and share views on anything relevant to playing bass. (When you're not in the mood to talk about bass, you can discuss anything at all at the Wheat and Barley Pub.) We host a bi-monthly event called Bass-In-A-Box (BassIAB) that offers a fun and constructive way to work on your own bass playing and learn from the experience of other bassists. A lot of our members are into home recording, and BassIAB gives us a way to work on our recording chops.

In addition to the forms, you will find some great content here (including reviews, lessons, and interviews) by browsing through the site map.

If you need some gear, we have an online store powered by Amazon.com, where you can buy things and support the site, helping us keep advertising to a minimum. (If you're feeling generous, we also accept hosting donations.)
